Welcome

We do medicine differently — on purpose.

Taking care of your health is not about quick fixes or relying on conventional methods alone. We believe in the power of nature and the abundant resources it offers to support our overall well-being.

Our mission is to empower you with accurate, reliable, science-backed guidance — and to deliver it in a room where you are actually listened to. Whether you are concerned about your children, your spouse, your aging parents, or yourself, we remove the confusion and help your family reach optimal health.

Our philosophy

The Magnolia difference

Four commitments we make to every patient.

01

Root Cause Focus

We go beyond the surface to uncover the “why” behind your symptoms — with the complete lab panel, not the abbreviated one.

02

Personalized Care

Your health journey is unique, and so is your care plan. Built around your life, your budget, and your kitchen.

03

Affordability Matters

Integrative medicine should be available to all, not just a privileged few. Transparent pricing, tiered memberships, insurance accepted.

04

Honoring Heritage

Inspired by Gullah Geechee traditions and the resilience of our ancestors, we weave cultural wisdom into modern, evidence-based care.

Your providers

Two Charleston natives. Thirty-one years of medicine between them.

Dr. Sarah Green Ellis, a licensed Naturopathic Doctor and clinical herbalist trained at Bastyr University, and Dr. LaShana Wilder, a Doctor of Medical Science and Board-Certified Physician Associate, founded Magnolia to bring root-cause medicine home to the community that raised them — alongside Medical Director Dr. Dushyant Viswanathan, a dual board certified integrative internist.

“Your body has been trying to tell you something. My job is to slow down long enough to listen, and then to hand you back the language to understand it.”
Dr. Sarah Green Ellis, ND, MS · Co-Founder
“I have watched patients be dismissed, not because their pain was not real, but because the system was not built for them. That is not healthcare. That is a wall. And Magnolia exists to tear it down. Quality, compassionate, whole-person medicine should not be a gift for the few. It is a right for every single one of us. Equal access to excellent care is not a privilege. It is a promise we keep.”
Dr. LaShana Wilder, DMSc, PA-C, FAAPA · Co-Founder

Real people. Real hope. Real change.

Our patients are the heart of Magnolia. Their stories remind us why we do this work — and why we never settle for "normal" when optimal is possible.

“For years I was told my labs were normal while I felt anything but. Dr. Ellis ran the panel no one else thought to run and explained every number to me like a person. Two months in, my energy is finally coming back.”

Tasha M.

North Charleston, SC · Patient since May 2026

“Dr. Wilder took my A1C seriously before it became a diagnosis. She built a plan around the food my family actually eats. I have never had a provider treat my culture as part of the medicine.”

Marcus R.

Charleston, SC · Patient since May 2026

“They accepted my insurance, they never rushed me, and they answered the questions I was embarrassed to ask. Magnolia is the first practice that has felt like it was built for people like me.”

Danielle W.

Summerville, SC · Patient since June 2026

“I brought my mother, then my husband, then my daughter. Three generations in one practice, and every one of us is better for it.”

Yvonne B.

Mount Pleasant, SC · Patient since June 2026

“My first visit lasted almost an hour. Nobody has ever given me that kind of time. I left with a plan I understood instead of another prescription I didn't.”

Keisha J.

West Ashley, Charleston, SC · Patient since May 2026

“The membership has already paid for itself. Labs, follow-ups, and real answers between visits — my perimenopause symptoms are finally being addressed instead of dismissed.”

Andrea P.

James Island, SC · Patient since June 2026

“As a Gullah Geechee native, walking in and seeing our traditions honored alongside real medicine meant everything. My gut issues are calmer than they have been in years.”

Reverend Louis G.

Johns Island, SC · Patient since July 2026
